Opposed to a mechanical diaphragm fuel pumps, these electronic HARDI fuel pump have their own propulsion (an electric motor or a solenoid coil), which ensures a smooth functioning independent of the engine.
All HARDI-Pumps have a special control system that enables the adaption of the pumping capacity to the consumption of the engine. This means, it will pump fast at high consumption, slow or not at all at low consumption and therefore a great deal of energy is saved.
They fuel pumps have been designed as dual polarity so that they can be installed regardless of the positive or negative polarity of your vehicle.
So if your vehicle is negative earth then the positive terminal must be connected to the ignition fed supply and negative terminal to the chassis.
However if your vehicle is positive earth then the positive terminal must be connected to the chassis and negative terminal connected to the ignition fed supply.
